This funding (40%) has supported the development of a bespoke project software which will vastly improve business processes: to simplify and speed up the processing of opportunities, quotations, jobs, project management, etc. by bringing together company information, existing time consuming standalone spreadsheets and company functions in order to provide better and faster real time information. The software will reduce duplication, paperwork and errors, as well as improve overall delivery performance, quality and ultimately customer satisfaction.
The software won't just monitor and manage jobs, but it will allow us to manage the staff resources, materials and the vehicle fleet. And it has the additional functionality of allowing us to be able to use it as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, ensuring we remain in contact with existing clients and following-up potential new clients. Further, it will also allow remote, so an engineer can add and schedule new projects as well as making amendments or adding any new requirements to existing projects.
To ensure complete efficiency, we require the system to be compatible with our accounts system, therefore allowing us to follow a job from beginning to end, that is from the initial lead right through to final invoice. Some of the cheaper online versions available, don’t offer this facility.
By streamlining internal processes, we know this will result in staff being more efficient which in turn will bring in additional/new business, allowing us to then invest more in staff resources.
UPDATE: The system was installed in January, by E-max Systems, and some time has been taken to develop it to meet our requirements.
